Application Certification Excellence Program

What is the Program?

In an effort to maintain the integrity of this patented technology, and to insure consumer confidence and loyalty, Trustor Coatings established the Applicator Certification Excellence (ACE) program. ACE is a factory training program for the purpose of certifying applicators to apply WearMax finish according to Trustor's Recommendations in order to provide an application with a warranty.

Where is the program held?

The program is held in Wausau, Wisconsin. The program can be held at any other appropriate site as determined by the distributor and Trustor.

How long is the program?

The program consists of 24 training hours. These 24 training hours can be done in either a two or three-day format. The two-day format begins at 7:00 AM and runs till 7:00 PM for two consecutive days. The two day program begins either on a Monday or Thursday. Participants must arrive the evening before the first day of training. The three-day program begins at 7:00 AM and runs until 5:00 PM for three consecutive days. The three-day program starts on Tuesday morning and ends on Thursday evening. Participants must arrive the evening before the training unless advance notification is given to Trustor.

How many students can be trained at each seminar?

The size of the class is determined by the location where the class is held. Class size will be based on cost and space limitations.

What is the cost and who is responsible for those costs?

For each student sponsored by the distributor, Trustor will invoice the distributor and the distributor will therefore invoice the participant. This is an exclusive program and as such we want to be selective as to who can be certified. All transportation costs are born by the participant. All room and board expenses are born by TRUSTOR Coatings once in Wausau.

Does attendance guarantee certification?

No. Each student must pass a written open book test and must be able to expertly apply the finish upon completing the training as determined by the Trustor trainer.

What if the student does not pass the training program?

The student may attend another scheduled session but will not be charged an additional fee unless certification is terminated.

What does one get once they are certified?

Once certified, the individual and the sponsoring retailer will be listed on the World Wide Web Site of Trustor Coatings. All consumer inquires in their area will be directed to them for follow up. Additionally, some certified participants could go on and become Certified Trustor Trainers as well as be eligible for any work programs that Trustor may be involved in. Details are available on request. As an ACE, they will be able to offer the appropriate residential warranty (based on the product applied) to the consumer, or the commercial warranty when pre-approved by Trustor Coatings. Only Application Certification Excellence Specialists will be able to offer the WearMax warranty.

Can someone be de-certified?

Yes! If an ACE has two or more claims in a calendar year which are determined by Trustor and the distributor not to be manufacturing related, the ACE will be de-certified and removed from any publications as such and will no longer be able to offer a WearMax warranty.

Can someone who is de-certified be recertified?

Yes. They must go through the original ACE process once again including the original fee. Is there additional training to maintain your ACE credentials? Yes. As Trustor develops new products and or procedures, additional training will be required. Each ACE must also be recertified every 12 months. There will only be a small cost to recertify and this could be done locally.

When will these programs begin?

Programs will be scheduled tentatively at the start of each year. Schedules are flexible for the contractor. Please inform us by registering and sending an inquiry about when the class schedules are.

Can special circumstances be accommodated for weekend schools?

Yes. Weekend schools can be done. Trustor must have at least thirty days notice to ready itself. This would be a two-day school format beginning on Saturday morning.

How do I go about enrolling in the ACE program?

You can enroll by contacting the distributor. The distributor will then notify Trustor Coatings in writing by E-mail, fax, or letter of their desire to enroll the participants. The distributor will specify what dates are requested and what format ( eith the two day, three-day or weekend program). Trustor will respond and notify if room is available for the times requested or when the next available date would be. Trustor will bill the distributor immediately upon reserving the space. No refunds will be allowed for participants who do not attend, once a reservation has been made. If no distributor is available in a specific area, an enrollment can be done directly with Trustor. A non-refundable fee must be received in advance before enrollment can be confirmed.
